ROME TOWNSHIP — Snooki, the Australian Shepherd owned by Fairland West Elementary 5th Grader, Shayna Leffingwell, has been named Lawrence County’s Top Dog for 2020 in a contest sponsored by the Lawrence County Auditor’s Office.
Lawrence County Auditor, Paul David Knipp presented the Top Dog trophy and the “Top Dog” 2020 dog tag at a ceremony on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Fairland West Elementary School.
In an effort to increase participation in dog licensing in Lawrence County, the Auditor’s Office sponsored a contest for Lawrence County children in the 3rd, 4th or 5th Grade to nominate a special dog to be named “LAWRENCE COUNTY’S TOP DOG for 2020.”
Paul David Knipp, a member of the Rock Hill school board, was selected to the position of Lawrence County auditor, following the resignation of Jason Stephens, who was chosen to server as state representative for the 93'd District earlier this month.
